A new option has been added to the Sophos Email Appliance SEA with this release: Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance (DMARC).
Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance (DMARC) is an email validation system built on SPF and DKIM. It detects whether the sender email address legitimately originates from the specified domain.
You can generate aggregate reports on the appliance which are sent periodically to the domain owner.
You can create a policy rule for DMARC verification on the page.
You can enable DMARC Aggregate reports in Rule Config.
In Main Action you can choose the Honour Text Record option from the dropdown menu to apply the action specified in the DNS txt record of the sender domain.
You can configure Report Settings on the page.
On the Message Volume today and Average Daily Message Volume panels, statistics for messages that failed DMARC verification are shown.
